JiYue ROBO X, which comes with Baidu Apollo's self-driving technology, has made its global debut. Here are its features...
At the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, the focus this time was on JiYue’s brand new electric supercar, the ROBO X. Introduced as the “AI-Powered Smart Supercar,” the JiYue ROBO X made its global debut with its superior technology and design. So, what makes this vehicle so special?
The world's first intelligent supercar: JiYue ROBO X makes its global debut
First of all, we can say that the ROBO X model combines classic supercar lines with modern design elements. The wide front bumper, eagle wing doors and split rear spoiler that we are used to seeing in supercars show the sporty stance of the vehicle, while increasing speed and performance thanks to the aerodynamic structure.
There are plenty of aerodynamic details used in the vehicle's exterior design. The reason for this is to provide stability and efficiency at high speeds. However, the real point where ROBO X makes a difference is hidden in its technological features. The vehicle uses a fully visual autonomous driving system built on Baidu Apollo's automatic driving technology.
According to JiYue, this system can provide a “track-level autonomous driving” experience. In addition, the smart driving cabin and AI-supported voice control system in the vehicle provide the driver with a truly digital assistant. It is possible to control the vehicle status, monitor engine torque, or learn chassis dynamics with voice commands. The vehicle also has an adaptive lighting system.
In terms of performance, the ROBO X accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds and offers a range of 650 kilometers on a full charge . The carbon fiber monocoque chassis and 5052 aluminum alloy, which provide the vehicle's lightweight structure, play a major role in this success. The vehicle, which is currently available for pre-order, is planned to enter mass production in 2027.
