Google will protect your personal data with Protected Email. It has developed a feature that will hide your main email, similar to Apple.
Today, almost every service, application and website requires an e-mail address to create an account. In this context, frequently sharing e-mail addresses has become a common practice. Gmail will start a new era in fighting and filtering unwanted e-mails. Thanks to Protected E-Mail, you will be able to hide your e-mail address.
Google will protect your personal data with Protected Email
Google is working on a new feature called Protected Email to strengthen user privacy. Discovered in the Google Play Services codebase, the feature will work similarly to Apple's Hide My Email feature, although it's not yet live.
Protected Email will allow users to create disposable or limited email addresses instead of sharing their primary email address. These names will direct messages to the primary inbox and prevent the real email address from being spread.
Protected Email aims to reduce this risk by giving users more control over their email privacy. Using temporary names for email will limit the visibility of primary email addresses, thus reducing the risk of spam, unwanted contacts, and potential data breaches.
The feature is expected to offer a layer of privacy specifically designed for apps that ask for users’ email addresses. As the digital world continues to evolve, features like Protected Email will become more important for users to control their assets and protect their sensitive data.
